The hallowing of pain

6d5dce47f51d4d6a26e5095ad15e39c3--emotional-pain-darkness-falls

Do you love me Pain ? I thought we parted ways
but I know you are around
though partly obscured – I can sense the gaze
awaiting the moment to sneak and pound

when tides start turning in my favor
instantly you start conspiring
not for a moment do you waver
piercing inside like a drill whirring

when gloomy skies just start turning clear
you step in lurking precariously
from arcane alcove you always appear
scathing, stinging venomously

why do you keep coming back – I asked, irked
to spare you another heartbreak – pain smirked.

  1. This is deeply introspective, Neeraj 😊 sometimes we need pain to remind us of our inner strength. Beautiful writing!πŸ’œ

  2. Yes, pain always seems to resurface – whether it be physical pain or psychological pain. It leaves for a while but you can depend on its return.

  3. There is nothing more baffling to us mortals than pain. Why, why, why? At least you have grappled with the questions. Well done!

Pain can be such a bother. Why must we be subjected to such indignities?
